Mint Recipes

Strawberry Mint Smoothie

  • 8 oz. of frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 TB Honey

  • 10-12 Fresh mint leaves


Add ingredients & pulse/blend until smooth

DIY Cucumber Mint Sugar Scrub

  • 1/2 cucumber - sliced

  • 2 loose tablespoons fresh mint leaves

  • 3 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  • 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

 

Place cucumber and mint into a blender and puree until smooth. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, puree, and olive oil, stirring until well mixed. Note: For a firmer mixture, add more sugar as needed. Divide the mixture into your chosen airtight storage containers and refrigerate until ready to use.

Mint Basil Pesto

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

  • 1 green onion, trimmed

  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds

  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

  • zest of 1 large lemon

  • 2 TBS fresh lemon juice

  • 5-6 TBS olive oil

 

Place the herbs, garlic, green onion, almonds, parmesan, lemon, and lemon juice in the small bowl of a food processor or in a small blender jar. Process until the herbs have broken down. With the blender/processor running, add the olive oil in a steady stream until desired consistency is reached.

Thyme Recipes

Lime Cucumber Thyme Water

  • 1 cucumber 

  • 2 limes (add extra if desired)

  • handful of fresh thyme sprigs

  • ice cubes


Add ingredients thinly sliced cucumber, lime slices, and fresh thyme sprigs to a large pitcher. Muddle all ingredients. Fill the pitcher with water, cover, and refrigerate.

Thyme Blueberry Lemonade

  • 4-6 Lemons

  • 3/4 cup cane sugar

  • 1/2 cup fresh of frozen blueberries

  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

 

Gently crush the rinsed berries and place them in a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Add the thyme and sugar, then simmer over medium-low heat for about 5 to 10 minutes, until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat. In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice (seeds removed) and the blueberry-sugar mixture. Add the remaining water and stir in the vanilla.

Strawberry Thyme Martini

  • 2 oz. strawberry vodka

  • 2 oz. vodka

  • 1 oz St. Germain

  • 3-4 whole strawberries

  • Lemon Wedge

  • fresh time sprig


Muddle strawberry into bottom of cocktail shaker, then fill with ice. Add remaining ingredients, and juice from the lemon wedge. Shake, and serve.

Thyme Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup fresh thyme sprigs

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup water


add sprigs, sugar and water to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium to high heat. Adjust to a gentle simmer and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the saucepanfrom the heat and let it cool before use. 

Lemon Balm Recipes

Lemon Balm Pesto

  • 3/4 cup lemon balm leaves firmly packed

  • 1/2 cup pine nuts

  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 3 TB lemon juice

  • 1 tsp fresh chives (optional)


Add ingredients & pulse/blend until smooth

Lemon Balm Lemonade

  • 1 cup demerera sugar

  • 1 cup agave syrup

  • 3 cups lemon balm leaves

  • 3 cups fresh lemon juice

  • 4 cups of water


Combine water, sugar & agave together. Bring to a boil, stir until sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat. Add lemon balm to the cooling simple syrup mixture. Let it sit until mixture has cooled. Strain the syrup mixture. Combine sugar mixture, water and lemon juice. Add sweetness as you like.

Lemon Balm Cocktail

  • 3 oz lemon juice

  • 2 oz triple sec

  • 4 oz vodka

  • 4 tsp simple syrup

  • 15 fresh lemon balm leaves


Muddle leaves with 1 oz of lemon juice. After muddle, add remaining lemon juice and other ingredients. Shake & strain.
